The fourth EFFAT Congress was held from 20-21 November 2014 in Vienna.
The Congress was marked by the greatest economic and financial crisis in Europe since the war, which has had catastrophic effects on the living and working conditions of all citizens. Workers have had to bear the consequences of the neoliberal deregulation policies that allowed banks to cash up clients and gamble their savings, receive state aid and still refuse loans to companies.
Against this political backdrop, the Congress made the necessary decisions to guide our trade union work over the next five years.
EFFAT Congress is held every 5 years and sets out EFFAT's political priorities and work program to ensure workers' decent conditions and fair pay from farm to fork.
